A fairytale wedding at Palazzo Borghese
Almost after a year, I finally restart to publish my wedding photo shoots starting from the last of this season, an intimate and elegant wedding in Florence.
2022 has been a busy year for all of us suppliers working in the wedding industry, after two years of the pandemic the restarting has been difficult, considering the amount of work that has been concentrated throughout 6 months. But I am pleased about how things went because I met so many different couples from different parts of the world, who chose to get married in Tuscany to crown the dream of one’s fairytale wedding. Each with its own idea and its own style of marriage that best represented them.
Keeghan and Chris, for example, have decided to organize an intimate and elegant wedding in Florence in the beautiful setting of Palazzo Borghese, a historic residence dating back to 400 located in the historic center of Florence. A wedding that reminded me a lot of Luchino Visconti’s film of 1963, “Il gattopardo”, for the exclusivity of the interior of Palazzo Borghese, the elegance of the newlyweds and guests, the simplicity and the taste of the chosen floral arrangements.
An intimate and elegant wedding in Florence
Keeghan and Chris chose not to devote much time to their getting ready photos, just a few shots of the bride with her bridesmaids for the auspicious pre-wedding toast, because for them the most important aspect of their amazing wedding in Tuscany, was sharing with their loved ones.
The indoor ceremony inside the Hall of Mirrors was exciting, a succession of laughter, tears of emotion, and hearts beating in unison.
A couple’s photo session began in the interior rooms of the Palace, where the natural light from the windows recreated a Caravaggesque atmosphere that I deeply love. Then we continued through the streets of the historic center of Florence, following the last rays of the sun on a warm afternoon in late October.
When we came back to The palace, the Hall of Mirrors was set for dinner: candles and soft lights made the atmosphere very intimate and elegant. The guests’ speeches warmed the hearts of the newlyweds and diners during the wedding dinner. A toast after the cut of the cake marked the end of an intimate and elegant wedding in Florence and the beginning of a dancing night among the bars of the city.
My experience with the bride and groom
Usually a few weeks before the wedding date, I contact the bride and groom to have the latest details of the timeline of the day and to ask them to answer some questions regarding their expectations on the wedding photo shoot and what for them is fundamental and should not be missing from their album of wedding photographs.
Reading their answers, I perceived a great simplicity but at the same time a great importance for the relations and what would happen.
The same I could feel as soon as I met Kheegen and Chris: she was disarmingly beautiful, with a contagious smile, an explosive joy, and radiance, a fascinating contrast between the elegance of her looks and movements and the tattoos on her skin. He is more reserved, looks sweet and in love, a real gentleman: kind, attentive, ironic, and shy.
A couple in perfect balance that immediately conquered me and whom I thank for making me feel part of their special wedding in Florence, giving me confidence and freedom to tell their story through my eyes.
I leave you with a small preview of an intimate and elegant wedding in Florence, with the hope that you can find my words in what you’re seeing.
A huge thank you to the great team!
