And here I am, after a long time, to tell the story of the Wedding at Villa Garofalo in Florence of Anahit and Vahe, a very young couple originally from Armenia but raised in New York who decided to get married in Tuscany, in my beautiful city.
I met these wonderful guys in 2019 with the intention of organizing their wedding in Tuscany for the following year, but we all know how 2020 ended. I was immediately struck by their freshness, their liveliness, enthusiasm, and emotion of this project of life together.
The cheerfulness of Vahe goes perfectly with the timid discretion of Anahit that is welcomed with the tenderness and care of his partner. Two personalities as different as in perfect balance. I was really very happy to have met them and I thank so much my dear Dashiell of The Wedding Knot who proposed me as a photographer for their wedding in Florence.
Wedding at Villa Garofalo in Florence
Anahit and Vahe decided to get married in the beautiful setting of Villa Garofalo in Florence. Conquered by the breathtaking view of the city that can be admired from the garden of the villa.
A historic and elegant location, inhabited in the past also by the family of Dante Alighieri and the family of his inspirational muse, Beatrice Portinari. The ancient cloister and the well date back to the time of the Divine Poet. A perfect place for those who want to enjoy the city in an atmosphere of the past that has the flavor of an ancient fairy tale.
And this is how it was the Wedding at Villa Garofalo in Florence of Anahit and Vahe: Elegance, privacy, a huge wave of warmth and affection from their families and their close friends, have made this wedding memorable for all of us suppliers.
The outdoor ceremony was held on the terrace overlooking the city of Florence, the cocktail for guests in the Italian garden in front of the Villa while the newlyweds were shooting portraits of a couple in the adjacent grove.
Dinner was served in the cloister under a sky of lights that made the atmosphere even more private and intimate and then we came back to the garden in front of the Villa to watch the creation of the wedding cake and the fireworks toast.
The inner room of the fireplace has hosted the night dancing to the sound of music and drinking good cocktails.
It’s been a day full of emotions that I will remember with great pleasure and I hope that the photographs you’re about to see can make you feel like part of this fabulous wedding.
