Siena Wedding Photographer at Dimora Buonriposo in Val d’Orcia

Siena Wedding Photographer: a fantastic setting to get married

I consider myself very lucky to live in one of the most beautiful regions of Italy. No wonder many foreign couples decide to organize their wedding in Tuscany. The countryside offers many different solutions to satisfy every wish of the bride and groom. If I had to choose where to marry in Tuscany, my choice would fall on the Val d’Orcia, for me the most beautiful territory of the Tuscan countryside. After seeing the wedding photos at Dimora Buonriposo in Val d’Orcia tell me if I’m wrong.

Val d’Orcia is a valley crossed by the river Orcia, from which it takes its name. It is located in the southern part of Tuscany and extends from the province of Siena to Grosseto. Since 2004 the Val d’Orcia is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site, today a protected natural cultural park. The landscapes are breathtaking, stretches of soft hills that change color according to the seasons of the year.

Medieval villages, castles and ancient churches that tell the ancient history of this territory. Not to mention the typical products of the highest quality recognized all over the world, such as Brunello di Montalcino wine or Nobile di Montepulciano, or pecorino di Pienza and truffles.

Anyone who thinks of Tuscany, can not imagine the rows of cypress trees in the hills covered with wheat. A perfect setting to take memorable wedding photographs in Val d’Orcia.

Siena Wedding Photographer: Getting married in Val d’Orcia

When I was contacted by Olga, the owner of Eachother Weddings Events, wondering if I was available as a Siena wedding photographer at Dimora Buonriposo in Val d’Orcia for a couple of her clients, I was delighted. I love working with Olga because she is competent and professional, but also very welcoming and brilliant. We share the same way of thinking about customer care, which creates an excellent synergy that even the spouses feel.

But the surprise was knowing the Dimora Buonriposo and its owner Antimo, a person of a unique sympathy, the perfect host, anyone who would like to be welcomed by him. Getting married at Dimora Buonriposo in Val d’Orcia means enjoying a corner of paradise that combines the past with the present.

Born in 1560 as a convent and branch for travelers on the Via Francigena, today remains unchanged in its structure, although finely renovated and equipped with all comforts, and also in its hospitality. It is difficult to describe in words what the eyes see and the heart feels when sitting at the pool the sun sets behind the hill.

Elisa and Maurizio are Italian but they live in London and have decided to organize the wedding in Tuscany, and chose me as their Siena wedding photographer. They are in love with the beautiful landscapes of the Val d’Orcia and conquered by the beauty of Dimora Buonrisposo, a perfect place to organize an elegant wedding but at the same time rustic.

Bride’s getting ready

Elisa’s getting ready took place in the main room of the Dimora Buonriposo. Its elegance and beauty combined with the light that penetrated the windows reminded me of a painting by Caravaggio. Her fine posture, the beautiful wedding dress she chose, made her a unique bride, of an incredible delicacy.

The ceremony

The religious ceremony of the wedding took place in the famous Pieve di Corsignano just under the village of Pienza.  Its origins are ancient and date back to the seventh century, although the current appearance, in Romanesque style, can be dated to the twelfth century.

Couple’s photoshoot

After the ceremony, we took couples photos in the countryside adjacent to the Pieve, famous for being the protagonist in some of the movie The Gladiator. I adore that corner of paradise, the sun, the cypresses, the soft hills of wheat. Unfortunately on the day of the wedding of Elisa and Maurizio the wheat had been harvested but that did not take beauty from the landscape.

Wedding reception

We reached the Dimora Buonriposo just in time to enjoy the aperitif at sunset by the pool and then enjoy a starry sky for the outdoor. Memorable the imperial table in the garden illuminated only by rows of lights and candles on the table, a unique atmosphere for wedding photos at Dimora Buonriposo in Val d’Orcia.

After cutting the cake under the olive tree, Elisa and Maurizio started the dance with the first romantic dance in the courtyard of the Dimora.

An elegant and intimate wedding in the beautiful setting of the Val d’Orcia, a couple of married shy but beautiful and in love and a group of suppliers with a crazy synergy. These are the ingredients to have the wedding photos at Dimora Buonriposo in Val d’Orcia unique and memorable.
