Couple photoshoot in Florence at Piazzale Michelangelo
There are many couples who come from abroad and want engagement photos in Florence. For us Italians, it is not customary to celebrate our engagement by immortalizing it with a couple photoshoot. And I think it’s a shame because the photographs are indelible memories of an important moment for the couple and that sanctifies the beginning of a project of life together.
So why not celebrate and immortalize the emotions of the moment through the engagement photos in Florence?
Linda and Vincent have done it, a trip to Italy just engaged and the choice of a romantic city like Florence to have a memory of their joy of the moment.
Engagement photos in Florence
Florence is a beautiful city, not a confusing metropolis but a small jewel to admire and live calmly enjoying it in all its characteristic corners. Surely Piazzale Michelangelo is one of the most beautiful places because it allows you to admire the whole city from above and you almost seem to touch with your hands the dome of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore.
It is no coincidence that Linda and Vincent wanted their engagement photos in Florence with the background of the city.
They are certainly not the only ones, Piazzale Michelangelo is one of the most frequented by tourists especially during the sunset. When the long staircase is filled with people sipping a glass of wine and enjoying sitting the spectacle of the sun going down behind Ponte Vecchio.
A really beautiful moment, I live in Florence and often find myself admiring the golden reflections that the sun leaves on the river Arno.
But if I have to think about this moment from a business point of view, I confess it’s not exactly ideal. First, because there are so many people and it is impossible to have photographs with a clean background without tourists, then because the sun, setting behind the monuments of the city, in photography makes them appear too clear because the subject is against the light.
So the perfect time to take engagement photos in Florence at Piazzale Michelangelo is definitely early in the morning when tourists are still having breakfast and the light is in favor of the subject, lighting it in the same way as the background of the city.
That’s why Linda and Vincent’s photoshoot in Piazzale Michelangelo was done early in the morning.
I chose a selection of black and white photos because the sun playing hide and seek behind the clouds, and B&W photos make better the intimate and elegant atmosphere that these beautiful guys have created during their engagement photos in Florence. I hope you enjoy the photos and that they can be an inspiration for your engagement.
