Wedding in the Chianti countryside

If you are looking for a unique venue for your wedding day in Tuscany, these wedding photos at Villa Corsini are definitely the definitive answer to what you are looking for.

Villa Corsini in Mezzomonte is a Medici residence with a unique history: purchased by Lorenzo the Magnificent in 1480 then passed to the property of Prince Giovanni Carlo de’Medici who from 1630 to 1644 had it decorated and frescoed to organize his own parties and banquets.

From 1644 it became the property of the Corsini Family who brought a series of improvements such as the sizeable monumental roof garden, the lemon houses, the long avenue at the entrance of the Villa, and the excellent English garden.

A few kilometers from Florence, immersed in the Chianti hills, Villa Corsini in Mezzomonte is now considered one of the most exclusive locations to organize your wedding in Tuscany.

Eugenia and Janko chose to have their getting ready in Florence at Dimora Palanca and to organize a First look before spending some time in a couple’s photography session in the streets of the historic center of Florence.
A great idea when the wedding location is in the countryside but you also want to have the couple’s photos in the city.

The only drawback is the time it takes to organize the couple’s session. Considering that usually, the wedding ceremony takes place in the afternoon, the photos must be taken after lunch, surely the time with the worst light in the day since the sun is high and almost perpendicular, which is why it creates contrasts and very strong shadows.

This is actually not a problem, especially for me because I really love this type of light, but not everyone likes the photographic result.
So it is definitely something that needs to be evaluated carefully before deciding to organize a couple’s session before the ceremony.

If what you see will be to your liking, then you might want to consider choosing a photographer who can also work in strong light.

After the couple’s photographs in Florence, we reached the Villa for the symbolic ceremony inside the Pandolfo Sacchi gallery, a wonderful frescoed room of 215 square meters with numerous windows overlooking the Pizzughe garden and the Chianti countryside. I am sure that among the wedding photos at Villa Corsini in Mezzomonte, you will love the minimal and elegant setting of the ceremony in this unique gallery.

Afterward, the newlyweds and their guests moved into the Italian garden for an aperitif among rose bushes and boxwood. A wonderful hanging garden embellished with statues and ancient terracotta vases, a fountain decorated with water lilies and labyrinths of boxwoods, pots of lemons, and cedars.

We took advantage of the last rays of the sun for a couple’s portrait photography session with softer and more romantic tones before moving for dinner outdoors under a sky of lights on the lawn in the North West of the Villa.

The evening ended in the Hall of the Guard inside the Villa with a musical entertainment that made all guests unleash.  A very successful day with the hope that these wedding photos at Villa Corsini in Mezzomonte can witness it.

My experience with the bride and groom

Eugenia and Janko struck me very much for their elegance and sweetness. Two shy but ironic guys, of disarming beauty. Always smiling and very complicit in their gestures and their looks. Their wedding was elegant but at the same time simple and very attended, I thank them very much for trusting me and for making me feel at home.

I leave you with a preview of the wedding photos at Villa Corsini in Mezzomonte by Eugenia and Janko, with the hope that they can be a source of inspiration for you.
